Outside the bathroom at the campgrounds. If you ask me, parenting done right.

IDK, strapping your kid to the hood of the truck isn't the smartest thing to do...

Dem rocker panels, yikes!

It is only done right if the kid rides up there.

We put a jeep on your jeep so you can jeep while your kid jeeps.

Michigan XJs :( Luckily mine have either already been replaced or are miraculous:
Just that stupid spot on the rear quarter panels, hidden by the plastic bumper caps. Also I just like showing off my castle.

That is a kickass house and a Badass jeep.

I agree, but the State Police are party poopers.

Thats....thats a nice castle. Where do the peasants live?
![]() 08/09/2014 at 20:48 |

It makes where I live look like a heep. Would you recommend a Jeep XJ?

But it could very well be a fun thing to do.

Bad ideas are normally fun...

Thats why you do it when they aren't looking.

Judging by my family tree, the peasants are probably still in Hungary tending our lands.

Or do it and run them off road when they see you.

For a cheap winter car with a reliable engine and cheap/relatively easy to fix it yourself everything else and a large enthusiast community? Yes!
For anyone looking for good gas mileage: Nooooooo! I can get maybe 17mpg if I keep it at 60ish on the highway.
Mine was $2300 and had just shy of 230k miles when I bought it last October, but there are plenty out there in better shape if you feel like spending $3000+. I have easily spent over $500 in parts alone to keep it running, not counting fun mods like the mud tires and angle grinder (to trim the fenders). Still on the lookout for a used rear axle to keep her truckin' one more winter before I get a brand new car like a grownup, and I am planning on keeping her around even after I get a new one.

I was thinking of getting a 1950 GMC or a Jeep (preferably older) as a tow beast and a beater. GMC because rat rod and jimmy 6 that can crank out some serious power. Jeep because reliable and better in winter. I don't know which.

Holy collapsed rear suspension batman!

Ha, you're right! I think there is a lot of stuff in the trunk. If the power wheel is on the roof, I can only assume they are coming in, or leaving.

How much do you need to tow? I do love my XJ but the 4.0L put out 190hp brand new and it certainly took its time getting up to speed hauling my motorcycle in a large covered trailer. Disclaimer: I do have a lift and larger tires as well.

Yea hopefully. That Michigan rust will get ya tho. This is my rust Michigan jeep

I would like to be able to tow a pretty good sized camper and all my camping stuff.

Ehhh, if it's under 5000lbs and you're not in a hurry...

I was leaning toward GMC. The camper isn't huge.
